It’s a perfect marriage of the finest English ingredients; the purest water and the highest quality Concerto two-row local-grown barley which is malted at Crisps, one of the country’s oldest master maltsters since 1870. Finally, we mature the whisky in oak ex-rum casks.
My tasting notes 📝
Nose: Butterscotch, Citrus, Vanilla and Oak.
Palate: White Peach, Cinnamon and Pecan Nuts.
Finish: Mango, Toffee, Sweet Malt and Tropical Pineapple.
My opinion 🗣- Having been designated as England Rugby's official whisky, another successful collaboration between whisky distiller and an independent bottler has been achieved. The addition of rum casks gives the English distilled whisky a distinct vibrancy.
