My tasting notes 📝
Nose. Citrus, Vanilla, Ginger and Candyfloss.
Palate. Shortbread, BBQ, fruit and Oak.
Finish. Spicy with Pineapple, Clove and Toffee.
First, a clean and refined scent stimulates the senses and provides a citrus-like smell. Next, a fragrant vanilla note emits an unforgettable and perfumed aroma. Soon, a spicy and pungent ginger smell begins to take over. Additionally, an intensely sweet and evocative candyfloss note contributes a wonderful burnt sugar essence to the unconventional Irish whiskey.
A rich and buttery shortbread flavour is the first flavour to be found on the palate. Next up, a positive peaty flavour. It's not medicinal, it's meaty with barbecue like flavourings. Now, tree fruits added sufficient structure and a juicy complexness; Red and green apples provided total convergence and enhanced the palate, further. Then, an oak note contributed a woodsy flavour going forward.
A long-lasting spiciness appears on the finish that exists throughout. Also included here was a mouth-watering tropical pineapple flavour that infused a charred and wood-smoked fruitiness to the peated Irish whiskey. Then, clove spice which combined well to give the finish, a spicy, yet dry personality. Ultimately, toffee flavours amplified the sweetness to the max.
My opinion 🗣️ - A very unique Irish whiskey with a complex and well-rounded flavour profile. Many flavours unify, to deliver a memorable and flavoursome drinking experience. I enjoyed this one. Check it out if you can!
