My tasting notes 📝
Nose. Malt, Caramel, Spice and Citrus.
Palate. Sherry, Custard, Fruit and Toffee.
Finish. Dried Fruit with Honey, Jam and Nuts
This is mostly malty although some sweetness from caramel was a welcomed accumulation. The nose then tingles from a spicy cinnamon scent. A sharpness cuts through now with a clean and fresh citrusy lemon aroma.
The palate has a velvety mouthfeel that is full of sweetness. Some sweet sherry and custard give the palate an evocative feel. Fruity apple notes work well with very satisfying toffee flavours driving ahead.
The finish is where you start to feel more dried fruit flavours, The medium to long finish has a silky vibe across-the-board which includes seductive honey notes. There's also some jammy flavours, then the tasting finished with some light nuts.
My opinion 🗣 - A really pleasant and easy sipping highland whisky with a decent flavour profile.
