Winter Whisky Series Launches, Bringing Christmas Spirit Early

Four limited-edition single malt whiskies released for the winter season by The Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) is launching a special Winter Series featuring four exceptional bottles of limited-edition single malt whiskies, each celebrating a significant seasonal moment from October to January.

This Winter Series from the world’s biggest whisky club features four bottles with specially designed labels that highlight Halloween, Christmas, Hogmanay and Burns Night. Each label is marked with one of the letters ‘S’, ‘M’, ‘W’, or ‘S’, and adorned with original artwork to embody the spirit of these celebrations.

In addition, each bottle contains a QR code that leads to an immersive experience – a video of SMWS Tasting Panel Chair, Robin Laing, singing or narrating a story or poem about the related seasonal event.

The full Winter Series which costs £310 will be available on the Society’s website from 18th October, with the individual bottles then released each month through the winter.

“Whisky is made to be shared, and there is no better time to share a dram than during special occasions over the winter months. With this Winter Series, we wanted to capture the magic of these moments, bottling whiskies that bring people together and celebrate the diverse flavours that define the Society. Each release is a representation of our commitment to creating unique experiences for our members, and we hope they will add a little extra warmth and flavour to the season’s celebrations.”
